We’re delighted to share that we’ve broken ground at our upcoming development in Seaton and construction at Derwent Rise is officially underway.Following planning approval in December, ‘Derwent Rise’ will bring 99 new homes to the west Cumbrian village of Seaton near Workington, featuring a range of high quality 2-bedroom to 5-bedroom houses as well as two-bedroom bungalows.
The exciting new development will comprise of a range of distinctively designed house types, including open plan spaces for modern living complemented by Genesis Homes’ statement exteriors with anthracite grey features; undoubtedly providing homes that will stand the test of time.
Perfectly located by the scenic coastline and close to the bustling town of Workington, ‘Derwent Rise’ is set to be a popular location for prospective homebuyers, from first-time buyers to growing families and those looking to downsize. The development also has easy access to the A595, connecting residents to Whitehaven, Carlisle and beyond.
Of the 99 properties, 20% will be allocated as affordable homes for suitable applicants with a connection to the local area. Genesis Homes will also be undertaking works to improve the drainage infrastructure, alleviating flooding risks in Seaton.
