Our supporters treated to an enjoyable – but bitterly cold – social trip to the rugby

STORM Arwen tried with all its might but didn’t spoil our fantastic Christmas social event at the aptly named Winters Park, the home of Penrith Rugby Club.

Although there was some travel disruption due to the high winds and snowstorms, a determined bunch battled the bitter cold conditions to be our guest as we said thank you to staff, clients and friends for their continued support.

Genesis Homes and Russell Armer Homes were pleased to invite our friends to be guests of our local rugby club as we sponsored their game with North One West rivals Firwood Waterloo, and around 60 people headed to the stadium before kick off to enjoy lunch and some great company.

Entertainment was provided by super talented musicians Cory Spedding and Stuart Sidney, and they were a huge hit with everybody.

Despite the cold weather, there was a stunning sunset over the stadium and the Northern Lake District fells – and we were all treated to a pulsating game of rugby too as Penrith went on to win 34-21.

The fun didn’t end there, though, and the festivities at Winters Park continued well into the evening!

We would like to thank our excellent hosts Penrith RFC especially Sue for the fantastic job she did with the catering, and everybody who joined us and made the event one to remember – from staff, subcontractors, suppliers, local businesses and friends.

We thank all for their continued support and we look forward to working on behalf of our fantastic communities again soon.
