£40,000 Raised for Jigsaw Children’s Hospice

Posted on: December 3, 2019

We recently hosted our inaugural, and very successful, Charity Ball at The Halston in aid of Jigsaw Children’s Hospice.

The event formed a major part of an 18-month partnership between Genesis Homes and Jigsaw Children’s Hospice. The night incorporated various fundraising activities including a live auction, silent auction and monetary donations. An emotive film produced by our media team gave guests a ‘behind the scenes’ insight into the day-to-day operations of The Hospice and formed a major part of the evening, highlighting the importance of continued support and donations to the Charity. The final total raised for the Hospice came to £40,000; an amazing amount that will go a long way in helping to improve the lives of these young children.

Nicky Gordon, MD said: “I’d like to give a huge thank you to all those who attended and supported our Charity Ball. To raise so much money on the night was beyond all our expectations and is truly fantastic. I have visited the Hospice on a number of occasions and the work that the nurses do never ceases to amaze me, and it is truly humbling. I know that this money is vital to the work of Jigsaw and will pay for nearly 3 weeks of daily care.”

Suzanne Garbarino-Danson, Clinical Lead Nurse for Jigsaw Children’s Hospice said: “We really appreciate all that Genesis Homes has done for the Hospice over the last 18 months and on top of an excellent evening of entertainment and fundraising, it was great to highlight the hard work and dedication of our Nurses”.

The theme of the evening: “The Greatest Show”, included a circus themed décor, a range of performers including a bearded lady, snake woman, Burlesque dancers, stilt walkers and a magnificent musical show.
