Genesis Homes named one of the UK’s most exciting new businesses

WE ARE absolutely delighted to have been named in the top 20 of the UK’s most exciting startup businesses by prestigious business website Startups.co.uk – and we’re in fine company too as the likes of Deliveroo and HelloFresh have featured in previous years.

The Startups 100 list of the ‘most disruptive’ startup businesses in the UK was announced this week and we were over the moon to be ranked in 20th place, especially as the top 100 was dominated by digital and ecommerce businesses in this modern world.

What was particularly pleasing was to hear the judges praise us for ‘creating modern, welcoming, high-specification new-build developments’.

It is amazing to see how much the company has grown since our managing director Nicky Gordon founded it in 2017, and we are on course to reach our target of building more than 200 homes a year by 2022.

The Startups 100 list ranks small-medium businesses on its innovations and the impact it has on the economy, and we are delighted to be ranked so highly among some excellent and forward-thinking new businesses across the UK. It is a long-established list of exciting and innovative new businesses and to feature in the top 20 is testament to the hard work and expertise of our staff.

To establish ourselves in such a difficult sector with so many challenges to entry in such a short space of time is something we are all very proud of.

We always strive to be the best we can be in everything we do and to get high recognition for this feels very rewarding.

As well as household names such as Deliveroo, HelloFresh and Purplebricks featuring in previous years, there was a long list of excellent and exciting new businesses in 2021.

Multiverse, a company founded by Euan Blair – the son of former Prime Minister Tony – which uses applied learning programmes and software to help people aged 16-24 years old candidates secure apprenticeships across a number of industries was ranked number one.
