WE were delighted to be able to enter the new year on the back of reaching a major milestone with the completion of our 300th home since Genesis Homes was founded in 2017.
The company has come on so much since the early days when it was formed to build new homes on relatively small pieces of land our founders owned at Wigton and Brigham, wondering where the journey may take us next.
That journey has been a whirlwind one – given the disruption caused to the housebuilding industry during and following the Covid-19 pandemic – but a very exciting one, and the team were overjoyed to have reached the 300th completion in December.
We pride ourselves on building the highest specification new build homes and the Farries Field development in Stainburn has been keeping us busy with the construction of a total of 81 properties.
The four-bedroomed detached Eden-type home snapped up by Peter and Kati represented the 300th home successfully completed, and we were delighted at how happy the couple were when they were handed the keys to what they described as their ‘forever home’.
We build a range of homes, from two to five bedrooms, and bungalows, and it’s extremely rewarding when we receive such glowing feedback from our homeowners who say they never want to leave their Genesis home.
As well as four bedrooms, Peter and Kati’s Eden home included an open plan kitchen and dining area, a spacious lounge, utility room, a family-sized bathroom to complement an en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom, a garage and associated driveway and gardens to the front and rear of the home.
To make moving in day that bit more special, Peter and Kati were presented with a hamper containing £300 worth of locally produced food and drink, purchased from Cranstons, so they will always remember when they were Genesis Homes’ 300th homeowner.
Who will be houseowner number 400 we wonder?
