MORE than £12,000 has been raised for a life-saving charity thanks to the fundraising efforts of our teams across Cumbria.
The teams at Genesis Homes and Russell Armer Homes organised a variety of events and activities throughout 2022 to raise vital money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
The charity provides life-saving, pre-hospital medical assistance transport via ambulance helicopters to thousands of people across the north of England each year, and it relies on public donations to enable it to carry out its work.
To show our support, we took part in sponsored walks and cycle rides, and invited local businesses to compete in the annual charity golf day at Penrith Golf Club.
A year of fundraising was brought to a spectacular close with the show stopping Genesis Homes Bohemian Ball at Carlisle Racecourse complete with singing, dancing and circus skills from Carlisle-based Explosive Productions.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service is literally a life-saving organisation and every penny it receives is gratefully received so it can continue its amazing work across our regions.
As a team, Genesis Homes is so proud to be able to support such a vital charity and it’s with huge thanks to everybody who has supported us that we’ve been able to donate such a significant amount of money.”
We are currently raising money for its nominated charity of 2023, Annie Mawson’s Sunbeams Music Trust, which supports disabled children and adults to improve their health and wellbeing through the creative freedom of music.
Tickets for Genesis Homes’ Charity Ball: West End to Broadway at Low Wood Bay, Windermere, are now on sale. For more information, visit www.eventcreate.com/genesischarityball2023.
