Excitement at three nominations in Homebuilders Awards

Posted on: May 4, 2023

THE team at Genesis Homes is delighted, and equally as excited, to have been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s Cowgills North West Homebuilders Awards.

Our EcoGen pilot scheme at Pennine View, in Calthwaite, has been shortlisted in both the sustainability impact and smaller housing scheme categories, while our Managing Director John Blue has been identified as a Rising Star and will go head to head with two other young, upcoming nominees for that award.

The awards, to be held in Manchester in June, specifically acknowledge the hard work of SMEs to meet the region’s housing requirements, and we are thrilled to have such a large representation across the board.

Pennine View, the first development in our EcoGen project, is something we are extremely proud of as, by creating a housing estate of 16 carbon net-zero emitting homes, we are leading the way in UK sustainable housing.

By being powered fully by renewable energy sources and managed through an integrated smart app, the development is making a real difference in reducing carbon emissions usage around, and it’s very pleasing that the hard work and research we put into the project has been recognised through the two nominations.

At the beginning of 2023, John was promoted to the position of Managing Director as he had shown great initiative to take on more responsibility and tireless commitment to growing the business.

As the Rising Star category, for those aged 35 and under, suggests, John has shown a great maturity beyond his years and plays a key role in every aspect of the business, and his great potential is acknowledged through his nomination.

We wish all nominated for the North West Homebuilders Awards all the best, and we look forward to attending the ceremony next month.
